JOIN OUR BRANCH AND HAVE CONTACT WITH OTHERS WHO PARTICIPATE IN THE COMMUNITY IN A VARIETY OF WAYS AND WHO ENGAGE IN EDUCATIONAL AND INTERESTING ACTIVITIES. YOU WILL ALSO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO SOCIALIZE WITH OTHER LIKE MINDED WOMEN.
AAUW MEMBERSHIP PROVIDES INFORMATION AND DATA VITAL TO THE LIVES OF WOMEN AND GIRLS.
WE GIVE SCHOLARSHIPS TO THE LOCAL COMMUNITY COLLEGE AND THE PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM . WE SUPPORT COMMUNITY NON-PROFITS AND OUR MEMBERS VOLUNTEER IN A VARIETY OF COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AND ACTIVITIES.
AAUW WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1881 AND THE FARMINGTON BRANCH IN 1951.
WE HAVE BEEN A PART OF THE LOCAL SCHOOLS, COMMUNITY COLLEGE, THE LIBRARY AND OTHER INSTITUTIONS AND ORGANIZATIONS. THE BRANCH AND OUR INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS ARE AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE FARMINGTON COMMUNITY.
THERE ARE PUBLIC FREE MEETINGS WITH SPEAKERS AND PROGRAMS
INTEREST GROUPS - BOOK, ART AND CULTURE, CURRENT EVENTS, GOURMET, BRIDGE AND GOLF.
THE BRANCH ALSO HAS SOCIAL MEETINGS DURING THE YEAR.
