BRANCH CALENDAR

WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER, 10, 4 - 6 pm. is Farmington AAUW’s HAPPY HOUR! It is at

the Brown Dog Treats, Drinks and Eats, 33314 Grand River, Downtown Farmington, parking is at

the rear of the building. Enjoy ice cream treats, bar drinks and food. Celebrate with friends,

family and colleagues for a fun, relaxing close of the day.


GENERAL MEETINGS

They are free and open to all and are, with occasional exceptions, held in Farmington Hills City

Hall in the Council Chambers. General Meetings are at 6;30 pm and feature a speaker or

program.


WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 17, 6:30 PM, This meeting is at C.A.R.E.S. Community Action, Resources,

Empowerment Services of Farmington Hills, 27835 Shiawassee between Middlebelt and Inkster

Road in Farmington Hills.  Todd Lipa of the Special Services Department of Farmington Hills will

describe the facility, the needs it services and the donations and volunteerism required to operate.
You are invited to bring a donation for distribution to their Food Bank. Needed are

canned vegetables, canned fruit, soup, stew, canned tomatoes, canned meats, cereals, peanut

butter, spaghetti sauce, pastas, macaroni & cheese. Also, toilet tissue in four packs, laundry

detergent and personal care items for women.

BOOK GROUP:

Those interested can meet for dinner at 5:45 at a local restaurant before gathering at a member’s home for the book discussion.
